Hi Lovely,

I’m so excited for your upcoming boudoir session! To ensure you have the best experience possible, I’ve put together a few tips and a checklist of things to bring and steps to take the day before your session. Don't worry – I'll take care of the hair and makeup, so all you need to focus on is getting ready to feel confident and beautiful.

Here’s how to prepare:

The Day Before:

  1. Hydrate & Rest
Make sure to drink plenty of water the day before and get a good night’s sleep. This will help your skin look fresh and glowing for your session.

  2. Shave or Wax (Optional)
If you plan to shave or wax any areas (legs, underarms, etc.), please do so the day before to avoid any irritation. This way, your skin will have time to settle.

  3. Avoid Excess Salt or Alcohol
Try to avoid salty foods or too much alcohol the day before, as they can cause bloating or dehydration.

  4. Exfoliate & Moisturize
Gently exfoliate your skin and apply moisturizer to keep your skin smooth and hydrated. Focus on your face, arms, legs, and any areas that will be exposed in the session.

  5. Do Some Gentle Stretches
A few days before, try to do some gentle stretches to help your body feel loose and relaxed. This will help you feel more comfortable and confident during your shoot!

  6. Get a Fresh Coat of Nail Varnish
If you'd like to have your nails polished, now is a great time to apply a fresh coat of nail varnish. Choose a neutral or classic color to keep things elegant and timeless.

  7. Wash Your Hair (the day before, not the morning of)
Please wash your hair a day before the session. The hairstylist will style your hair, but freshly washed hair in the morning may result in frizz. Washing it the day before ensures your hair holds better and looks its best for styling.

  8. Plan Your Outfit Choices
Take some time to think about the outfits you’ll wear during the shoot (details below). Try them on and make sure everything fits comfortably.

What to Bring:

  1. Lingerie / Outfits (3-5 options recommended)
Bring a selection of your favorite lingerie, outfits, or anything that makes you feel amazing! You’ll want to bring a mix of options, including:

    • Lingerie (lace, satin, or bold pieces)

    • A Button-Down Shirt or Sweater (great for a more casual or sensual vibe)

    • A Bodysuit or Sexy Robe

    • Any special items (e.g., garters, stockings, jewelry, or heels)
Tip: Avoid tight elastic bands or lines that could leave marks on your skin. Darker colors and classic black are always stunning, but don’t hesitate to bring something in a color that makes you feel fabulous. Also, please ensure that all outfits are wrinkle-free and that any visible tags are removed.

  2. Shoes
If you'd like to wear heels or boots, bring them! High heels can really elevate your look and confidence during the shoot.

  3. Jewelry / Accessories
Feel free to bring any jewelry or accessories that you love and think will add a personal touch (think necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.).

  4. Personal Items (Optional)
If you’d like to incorporate anything meaningful into the shoot (e.g., a favorite scarf, a piece of artwork, or a meaningful prop), feel free to bring those along!

  5. Comfy Night Robe
Please bring a comfortable robe or something you can wear while you’re getting your hair and makeup done. It’ll help you feel relaxed and cozy before the session starts.

  6. Loose-Fitting Clothes
Wear loose-fitting clothes when you arrive so there are no marks left on your skin. Tight clothing or underwear can leave impressions that might show in your photos.

  7. Slippers
There is a no-shoe policy in the studio, so please bring a pair of slippers or comfy shoes to wear while you’re here.

  8. Hair & Makeup Ideas
While I’ll take care of your hair and makeup, it’s helpful to bring along any images of styles you like or things you’d like to avoid. If you have a certain vibe in mind (glam, natural, bold), let me know!

What Not to Do:

  1. Avoid Fake Tan
Please avoid using self-tanner, as it can cause streaks or uneven coloring. We want your skin to look natural and radiant!

  2. Don’t Apply Makeup
There's no need to apply makeup before your session—just make sure to moisturize your skin. We’ll take care of the rest!

  3. Alcohol and Drugs
For your safety and to ensure the best experience, alcohol and any drugs are strictly prohibited before or during the session. Please arrive feeling clear-headed and ready to enjoy the experience!

A Few Final Tips:

  • Arrive early and ready to have fun! I’ll guide you through every step of the shoot, so there’s no need to feel nervous.

  • Leave your worries behind – this session is about celebrating YOU, so come ready to embrace your inner confidence.

  • Free Parking – If you’re driving, there’s free parking available at the studio, so you don’t need to worry about parking fees.

  • Take Advantage of Your Gorgeous Makeover – After your session, why not treat yourself to a nice dinner or drinks? You’ll be feeling fabulous, so make the most of it and enjoy a night out at a lovely restaurant or bar!

  • Tea, Coffee, and Snacks – I’ll have tea, coffee, and light snacks available for you during your session. Feel free to bring any drinks or food you might prefer, and please let me know if you have any food allergies so I can make any necessary accommodations.

I can’t wait to capture stunning, empowering photos that make you feel amazing. If you have any questions or need further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.

See you soon!

Love,

Esther
