In this blog post, I'll answer some FAQ about maternity sessions.
When should we do the maternity photo session?
The best time to do your maternity photo session is around 28-33 weeks of your pregnancy. At that stage your baby bump will nicely show but you will feel comfortable to pose and you'll enjoy the session. Should you book if you're more far away with your pregnancy? If you feel good, you should absolutely book a session. This gorgeous mom was 38 weeks pregnant when we did her session and she did amazing!
When should I book?
You should book your session around 20 weeks so we have plenty of time to plan your session.
How long is a session?
Your maternity photo shoot starts with a makeover: an amazing hair and make-up artist will do your hair and make-up. This takes about 1.5 h. Then, we will do your photo session with multiple set-ups, including couple and family photos. The photo shoot takes about 1.5h. So this is a full morning experience.
Do you do outdoor sessions?
Yes, we can do an outdoor session, if you would like to. We have the gorgeous Donabate beach nearby and Newbridge Park too, but Malahide and Ardgillan Castle are very close too and they are all stunning locations!
Do you provide outfits?
Yes, I have a selection of maternity gowns, bodysuits and fabrics that you can use during your maternity photo session.
When will I see my photos?
Your edited photos will be ready for viewing in two weeks. I will invite you back to my home studio and present your edited images (about 40 pictures). At this private viewing appointment, you can order your products.
Will I get the digitals?
Yes, with every printed photo, you will get the matching digitals.
When will I get my prints?
You will get your gorgeous printed keepsakes in six weeks, the corresponding digitals will be delivered right after your ordering appointment.
Will you share my photos on social media?
Only if you give me permission to do so. If you would like, your photos will remain private.
